About Me
I am a Research Engineer at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center, University of Cyprus, affiliated with the Computer Vision and Deep Learning (CVDL) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) research groups. My research bridges theoretical artificial intelligence with scalable software engineering, specializing in the development of intelligent agentic systems and autonomous AI solutions.
Building upon my graduate studies and ongoing research roles, my work focuses on developing reliable AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning and seamless interaction within complex software and cyber-physical environments. Currently, my research spans the following interconnected areas:
- Autonomous Agentic Systems โ Developing robust paradigms for AI agents to reason, plan, and autonomously execute complex tasks across cross-platform environments.
- Cyber-Physical Autonomy โ Leveraging computer vision and deep learning to enhance the perception and decision-making capabilities of autonomous systems (e.g., UAVs) in dynamic real-world scenarios.
- Trustworthy AI & Alignment โ Designing frameworks to ensure the safety, adaptability, and reliability of autonomous agents, facilitating secure human-AI collaboration.
I received my M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence (2024) with Distinction from the University of Cyprus, where I was advised by Dr. Panayiotis Kolios and Dr. Christos Kyrkou. Prior to this, I earned my B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2023) with First Class Honours from the University of Lancashire.
